There is no good reason to release an update every week. Most of the time the updates are kind of cosmetic.
I suggest to release an update every month or even every quarter of a year. That would be absolutely enough

You could drop the betas if Xiaomi, like other manufacturers, distributes the security updates max 2 weeks after Google releases them as an update. In the current state or if this (which I believe will not change) persists....an update every 2-3 months... the betas are essential.
Or better : Stay on the Betas. Just hire more capable developers.
