Fellow MIUI Fans,
When you think of high quality music, your phone isn't the first thing to pop into your mind. Most of us tolerate the audio quality from our devices simply because music is something we can't live without — but we shouldn't have to put up with poor quality, and as it turns out, we don't. However, with a number of tips, you can vastly improve sound quality on your Android smartphone in just a few minutes.
1. Checking the settings:
You could optimize your Android audio experience through the settings. Not all Android UIs have this feature, however, so it won't work for everyone. If your device has it, the procedure is easy, though. And once you've done it for the first time you will be able to quickly enhance your audio settings in the future. In MIUI you will find the option under Settings sound and vibration Headphone.
2. Using a high-quality audio format:
If you are one who listens to offline songs, always try to get your hands on songs which are ripped in a higher bit rate. If you are using MP3, try for the 320 kbps format.
3. Caring for speakers:
As Smartphones become compact by the day, manufacturers are searching for innovative ways to fits in the speakers. Gone are the days when you could associate a speaker with big grills. While some Android devices still offer speakers with grills, the trend is steadily shifting toward microscopic speakers. These are so tiny, that they even go unnoticed. When speakers are so small, you may even place your fingers on them unknowingly. This will affect the sound output of your device, and you might be led to think that the speakers are faulty. Therefore, it is vital to know the exact location of speaker, be it rear-facing or front-facing. You can then avoid placing your fingers over them.
4. Choosing quality Earphones:
Even after implementing the various steps, there are some phones that just cannot give the desired output. In such cases, the speakers are irreparable and going for an earphone is the ideal option. Again, you need to ensure that they are of good quality and which can give you the desired output. While it is not mandatory to purchase only the expensive ones, going for earphones from Xiaomi even with low price could suffice your requirement.
5. Checking if your case is blocking the speaker:
If your phone has a protective case or cover, it will affect the quality of the sound you get from the speakers. All those vibrations coming from inside your phone will be muffled by the additional layer of plastic or rubber that the manufacturer won't have taken into account when designing its speaker system. Not all case makers understand the subtleties of your device. Some cases block essential parts of the phone like the audio jack, microphone or speaker. Before you buy a case be sure that you check to see that it won't block anything.
Fellow MIUIers, these are some of the essential tips and tricks that you can utilize to either increase the volume of the speakers or improve the sound quality on your Android phone. Hope the tips listed above will vastly improve your listening experience. Signing off for now, Let's rock with the music!
