A Mi MIX STORY Today I want to share with you Xiaomi’s journey through its most premium and innovative smartphone series, Mi MIX. Let’s start from the beginning. 
Mi MIX - November 2016 The first model giving life to this revolutionary series was Xiaomi Mi MIX, also known as the first world's bezel-less phone inspired by Sharp Aquos Crystal series and designed by Philippe Starck. The Xiaomi Mi MIX's featured top of the class specifications and a unique frame that was made of ceramic. Its display had a 17:9 aspect ratio with extremely reduced bezels on the top, left and right sides. 
To make this technological miracle possible and this device even more innovative, Mi MIX was characterised by a cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology that replaced the traditional earpiece speaker, allowing the user to listen to calls without the earpiece. The proximity sensor used ultraviolet light instead of infrared light. 
Philippe Starck Philippe Starck not only worked very closely with Xiaomi engineers to develop the first true borderless device but he also managed to give the WOW effect back to many tech and mobile fans, making every other phone look outdated straight after the launch of Mi MIX.

Mi MIX 2 - September 2017 As a pioneer design in terms of borderless smartphones, Xiaomi Mi MIX inspired many other manufacturers to follow the same edge-to-edge design. Its successor, Mi MIX 2 was another great success that kept the flagship features and specs with slight amends to the design. In fact, Mi MIX 2 design was slightly modified for better ergonomics with the display size dropped from 6.4” to 5.99”. 
Xiaomi had a very hard job to top Mi MIX but the company managed to do so improving the first model on every side. In fact, Mi MIX 2 featured better hardware and abandoned the original cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology to include a real earpiece. 
Mi MIX 2S - March 2018 Mi MIX 2S is an updated version of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. It shares the same design of its predecessor with improved hardware especially in terms of processor and camera. These improvements make Mi MIX 2S a real mass product with a fantastic price-quality ratio. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is the first smartphone of the Mi MIX series to sport a dual camera, placing Xiaomi among the top camera phones manufacturers. 
Mi MIX 3 - October 2018 The Mi MIX series continued by the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 launched on 25th October 2018 which, in addition to the flagship specs, features a full-screen display and a slide mechanism to reveal the front-facing camera. Incredible. 
Mi MIX 3 5G - May 2019 To make the Mi MIX series even more revolutionary, Xiaomi has presented a 5G variant of Mi MIX 3 at MWC 2019 that will launch in Europe in May 2019, placing Xiaomi and the Mi MIX series at the top of the 5G game.
