I noticed people reporting two types of touch issues.|
1:) Multi-Touch (caused by bad calibration at software level)
2:) Ghost-Touch (Very common introduced in Google's 8.1 Oreo update)
while the second issue is more complicated but we can fix the first one which basically causes bad user experience like keyboard errors and PUBG lag or touch not accurate.
*************ROOT IS REQUIRED************
So now let's move to the fix after analysing for days trying different gsi roms and miui 10 P and oreo where exactly the issue lies I narrowed it down to our Vendor partition. Because the issue is in our vendor files it doesn't matter which gsi u install P or O you will still find the issue making you think it's a hardware problem BUT ITS NOT!!!
So after hours of twerking and research I narrowed down what exactly is wrong with the Input touch calibration property that is responsible for how the UI should respond with an input like tap fling scroll so and managed to find the perfect property (which I think is good enough for me) to clone this issue untill we get an official fix from xiomi !
(you can search the intenet on how to edit build.prop file for your ease if your new to this)
1:) Install any file managers with ability to explore root ex ( root file manager, Ex file explorer )
2:) Head to root\system\build.prop
and open the file as text
3:) now simply scroll down to the end and give it a space then Paste the below lines
#advanced touch settings
touch.deviceType=touchScreen touch.orientationAware=1 touch.size.calibration=diameter touch.size.scale=1
touch.pressure.calibration=physical touch.pressure.scale=0.001 touch.orientation.calibration=none touch.distance.calibration=none
What this basically does is it calibrates your touch how it should respond pixel by pixel and other stuff Google it just in case you wanna know more about it and note that I have added few own personal prefered properties to enhance User experience even more!
If this guide helped you please share it with others and I have spent alot of time analysing and building this fix so a thnx is appreciated!
