I've tried what people call the best custom rom and it was terrible. The sheer amount of glitches was enough to almost destroy my Galaxy S3 and I saved it by flashing MIUI onto it. Thing is MIUI started off with a base of the best of these custom roms and then it improved on it and made it professionally stable like a real product should be. These custom roms are programmers having fun and making it as a hobby. They aren't meant for people to really rely on as a daily driver. MIUI on the other hand is a real product so it has to be polished for use.
