Uh-uh, my friend has a moto g and since it sees a lotta community support and developement, it has a lotta custom kernels. Some of these allow DT2W...evn though his device doesn't come with it.

It doesn't keep the CPU awake at all, if its a kernel feature.

Yeah, I know Xiaomi isn't implementing this any time ever...(this is quite an old thread if you noticed)
But as for hardware not supported, that's BS IMO...the Redmi 1S and the Moto G both have IPS LCD panels(same as Mi3), and I know for a fact that DT2W works on both (using custom kernels)
Well, Mi3/4 sources should be out this month, so custom kernels should be here soon... :)
