N300 series Router can effectively take 20 Mbps Speed and beyond this you need an AC Series Router which can handle Broadband Speed higher than 25 Mbps up to 1 Gbps. These Router's are called Gigabit Routers.
But this one is capable of handling speeds up to 40 Mbps. I am using it for my FTTH connection.
The only problem with this router is that it has a very simple UI and setup is also easy. While in PPPoE it only asks for username and password. While I understand that in VDSL connection you need to enable VCI which is not available in this router Firmware. So their might be a possibility it won't connect. You can check out other threads for PPPoE dial up settings.
