Hey, Mi Fans!
Most of us take being able to see on our Android devices for granted. We look at pixels and discuss the merits of display technology. But that's not the case with most of the visually impaired or blind people.People who have a hard time seeing the overload of information that a modern smartphone has to offer will need some assistance, and Google provides a really comprehensive set of tools in TalkBack.

Google TalkBack is an Accessibility service for that helps blind and vision-impaired users to interact with their devices. It makes use of spoken words, vibration and other audible feedback to allow the user to know what is happening on the screen to allow the user to interact with their device. The service is pre-installed on most Android devices and is routinely updated with improvements and new features through Google Play Store. If you don't need assistance because you are able to see everything on the screen clearly, you have probably never looked at it. That's not necessarily a bad thing because it wasn't designed for those of us who can see everything and the setup and options can be confusing when you see what you want to do and hear how it all works at the same time.

How Does it work?

When we use our finger to explore what is on the screen, and when we come across any element that can be acted on or any block of text that can be read back to you, TalkBack comes into play. For texts, the screen reader service tells us exactly what is written when we touch anywhere on the screen.

How To Enable Google Talkback?
Go to Settings > Additional Settings > Accessibility > TalkBack > Enable it and press OK.

How To Turn it Off?
Many users accidentally turn on TalkBack and can't turn it off. In case you are one of them, just follow the below GIF! (Single Tap to select and Double Tap to enter)

Conclusion
Talkback isn't something we will want to use unless we need it. But people who need to rely on this sort of tech will be more attuned to following audible cues, and this is a great way to help those of us who really need to know about this. If you have the need or know someone who does, be sure to give TalkBack a look and see if it can make someone's Android experience a little better.
