Nomoskar Kolkata Mi-Fans!
How is your Sunday going? Hope you're having a good and relaxing time!
Today, we bring you news from the 13th Kolkata FC meet. Unlike most meets which have their own dedicated theme which in some way or the other related to Mi Devices or Xiaomi in general, this meet was a special one for all of us! We say that it was special as it was the first meet where the entire group of Mi-Fans came together for one singular event and that too for the Great Indian Past-time i.e. Playing Cricket!
That's right, the theme for the 13th MiFC Kolkata meet was "Cricket". Internally we had decided for a while now to create our own FC-Cricket team and the labor of our efforts saw fruition today by us coming together to play at the very first session during this meet. We the organizers of this meet were initially a bit very skeptical due to the impending monsoon every now and then and even went to the extent of having a backup plan prepared in case it rained cats and dogs but luckily, lady luck was on our side today and we all got to have an amazing time playing cricket.
The venue for this meet was also a legendary one. We played at "Maidan". For those of you who do not know its history, Maidan is now India's largest open playing field was at one point of time Asia's biggest open field coming second to only New York's Central Park. The entire group of Mi-Fans was to play at this legendary venue from 3 pm onwards and prior to that, the meetup point for this fan meet was scheduled to be around 2.30 pm at Birla Mandir which is again one of the landmark Astronomical Observatories in eastern India.
As per the plan, we all meet around 2.30 - 2.45 pm near Birla Mandir and after a brief exchange of greetings and salutations, we all made our way to the playing field. Mi-Fans from different parts of the city including some from the different suburbs had come down to play together for this Fan Meet. All reveled at the sheer size and lush greenery of the meet venue and then gradually got down to warm up before starting the practice.

Amongst the Mi-Fans that had come down for the meet (luckily we had an even number of Mi-Fans), we broke into two evenly divided team and got to strategize. After a few rounds of individual practice and warming up, we got down to it and played our first full-hand match as a team against team. The match went on for quite a while and it wasn't until it got dark that we stopped playing and decided to call it day.
