Xiaomi is setting one record after the other and here comes another, Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 topped the list of bestselling phones in India in the second quarter of 2017. This data comes from a report released by Counterpoint Research. The Redmi Note 4 has a share of 7.2 percent of the smartphones sold in India in Q2, followed by Redmi 4 at 4.5 percent. Redmi Note 4 which was launched on January 19 in India and more than 1 million units were sold in just 45 days. Redmi 4 made another record after that as 1 million Redmi 4 smartphone units was sold in only 30 days. Other important data given in the report states India mobile handset market remained flat while smartphone market grew by modest 4% during Q2 2017 and Smartphone segment contributed to close to half of the total handset market in Q2 2017.
