Greetings, dear Mi fans.
Today we will begin a series of articles that are aimed at finding errors in the MI A3 Android smartphone system as part of the Android One collaboration program.
We tried to tell and describe a new, in my opinion, critical error.
As we all know in the Android Pie system, Google introduced a new OS control system - a gesture control system, abandoning the old three-button (Back, Home and Application Menu buttons).
To move to the new OS management system
As a result, after activation, a new OS gesture control concept appeared.
Note: the previously described example of activating a rigid OS control system is used for both MI A1 and MI A2/Lite smartphones running Android Pie.
We’ve finished the water part, it’s time to describe the error found, which does not allow MI A3 to disable the new Android Pie gesture system and thereby return to the old three-button control system.
There is no item Touch the button on the main screen and swipe up in the Gestures section, and thus there is no way to control the activation/deactivation of the OS gesture control system.
Current software version on smartphone: V10.3.5.0.PFQEUXM
Steps to reproducing the error
In our case, the critical error that we found can be attributed to the System/Settings category. The steps that can reproduce the error are:
As you can see from the screenshot above, in the subsection there is no transition point to the next transition to the subitem for activating/deactivating the new gesture control system.
Below you need to choose a voting ballot in which you need to choose one of the options:
And a kindly request to vote for those Mi-fans who have Mi A3.
