The 'Dragon Boat Festival' is a traditional holiday originating in China, occurring near the summer solstice, also known as Duanwu Festival. It was being celebrated during Sunday, 28th of May - Tuesday, 30th of May. Three of the most widespread activities conducted during the Dragon Boat Festival includes eating rice dumplings (ZongZi), drinking Realgar Wine (xionghuangjiu), and racing Dragon Boats. Other activities included hanging icons of Zhong Kui (a mythic guardian figure), hanging mugwort and calamus, taking long walks, writing spells and wearing perfumed medicine bags.
