Today Redmi officially announced that the Redmi K20 series will be equipped with the 7th-generation on-screen fingerprint sensor. This has triggered the attention of considering that Xiaomi’s flagship Xiaomi Mi 9, comes with the 5th-generation screen fingerprint.
According to Redmi, this scanner comes with a 100% higher photo-sensitive area and 30% more accuracy than its predecessor. In addition, the scanning area increased by 15% and it comes with a 7.2μm ultra-large pixels coupled with a 3P lens.

The Redmi K20 series also uses a pop-up front camera, which is the first Xiaomi smartphone with this solution.
