MediaTek processors seemed to have been left cold by MIUI dev team, at least I don't see any announcements on upgrade to KitKat/Lolipop for Redmi Note 3G.

With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, it is launched with KitKat version and that seemingly tells a tale that there is more support for Qualcomm processors in terms of moving up to next versions of the Android OS.

Being left behind with JellyBean means MiBand will remain an issue when it is launched in the Malaysian market.  Keeping my fingers crossed that the 3G will at least be upgraded to KitKat in order to support MiBand.

Totally agree with you the chip is 8 core (suppose to be more powerful)  but it can only support 32g ext. memory Miui 6
and Kikat upgrade still not available .
