Finally, Xiaomi has announced new smartphone called Mi 6 with great specs . It looks great in terms of design as well but I was waiting for dual curved edges smartphone from Xiaomi but they dissapointed me somehow but current design is not bad at all. Today i am going to talk about Xiaomi Mi 6's design, specs, main features and everything you need to know about it. So lets start without wasting any time...
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. The 10nm processor is 35 percent smaller and 25 percent more efficient than its predecessor. With this, the Mi 6 has joined an elite league of smartphones having the SD 835 chipset.
The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM ( DDR4X 64 bit dual-channel memory) as standard across all variants along with 64/128GB of internal storage. It has 3350 mAh battery with fast charging support. Xiaomi claims that the battery can easily last a day thanks to certain battery-saving tricks in MIUI such as freezing background data from running the background, restricting errant applications from starting up and so on. Xiaomialso claimed that the Mi 6 has a AnTuTu score of 184,292. which is highest on any smartphone even batter than Samsung's current flagship S8 and S8 Plus.
Moving towards its display, It has 5.15-inch display with 1080x1980p resolution however company did'nt mentioned about its protection.new design
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is encased in four-sided curved 3D glass. It comes with a stainless steel frame sandwiched between two layers of glass (on the front and back). Xiaomi tried to create new design rather than copying samsung or any other. The design of this smartphone looks unique and solid. But the sad thing is that their is no 3.5 mm headphone jack which means you have to use type C port to use headphones. The handset comes with splash resistant with all openings, including the SIM tray sealed and protected from splashes of water which is ok but IP68 would be batter choice.
The fingerprint sensor of the Xiaomi Mi 6 is embedded underneath the glass in front. The sensor is not embedded underneath the display as Apple is rumoured to do with the iPhone 8, but is underneath the front glass layer.Dual Rear Cameras
The Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with a dual camera setup at the rear - a 12MP wide-angle sensor with 4-axis optical image stabilisation and a 12MP telephoto lens. Just like on the iPhone 7 Plus, the telephoto lens allows for 2X optical lossless zoom which exists along with the 10X digital zoom. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies. In terms of camera, we can expect good experience this time. The Mi 5 was also able to produce good photos but not that great. Xiaomi took great step to move on Dual camera setup whereas Samsung is still confused.
Price and availability
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is priced at 2,499 YUAN (Approx. 23,242 INR or $360) for 64GB variant while the 128GB storage variant is priced at 2,999 YUAN (Approx, 27,500 INR or $420). Their is one more variant called Ciramic speacial edition which costs around 2,999 (Approx. 28,000 INR or $435). Pricing is very good as we were axpecting. It will available in China starting from April 28. Unfortunately, there is no information available for its global launch.
