[Discussion] 64bit architecture and beta testers

Mi Fans, about the 64-bit architecture they are talking about, our RMS2 processor supports the 64bit format, but our system is 32bits, thus preventing the correct functioning of the gcam and future of applications, because Google reported q from the middle of the year,  will start removing the 32bits apps from the play store, leaving only the 64bits architecture, so we should support the update of the 32bit system, to 64bit.

And about our role as beta, we must stop complaining and start reporting system errors, and leave opinions of what could have on the stable update, this will help system developers complete the process faster by bringing the latest updates  fast, that's our job, reporting mistakes, not complaining.
Rest assured, our S2 will update yes.

okay. I understand you and your decision about Redmi S2 technical rom architecture. 64-bit rom system is massive amount of Ram over 6GB. so our processor Snapdragon 625 sadly doesn't support 64bit rom system. it's only built in 32bit rom system. but if MI would create redmi S2 with 6GB ram model we will get 64bit os update. but it's one big problem redmi s2 models need to get other processor like Snapdragon 636 to have 64bit rom system. Yes it is unfair when our CPU have 2.0ghz and 636 have 1.8GHz CPU and max 6GB ram.

I am not able to send the print of the app I use here, download the AIDA64 and at a glance in processor, you will see that the architecture of it, was designed for 64 bits, but the system is 32, but in fact the amount of RAM that  is required leaves us stuck to 32bits, but here in the forum itself, I saw a publication in which someone reported on something similar to another device, where xiaomi in the next update, passed the system from 32 to 64, I believe if they want,  they can make it possible

well it's only Qualcomm issue. I think we will get 64bit os update.that means we will run android converted to 64 bit rom system. you are right but I have never seen Snapdragon 625 running with 6GB ram. so it will be possible to make 64bit os and rom update

At the moment recruitment for betas is suspended, but even as an ordinary user you can help, just start reporting the errors that you find in the system, and remain present in the forum, giving tips of what can improve or have in the system, that in some  you may be invited to be a beta
