Hello everyone,

I just observed in my xiaomi note 5pro with global rom, that I can't connect to 5GHZ wifi even though the network is visible. I see the name of the network with 5ghz just next to it, but can't connect to it. Any clues? Is it locked in Europe?

Have you tried to change the channel on the router?

What I did, was a connecting my laptop to 5ghz Wifi and then I did hotspot from my computer. I'm in a hotel and there's a paid wifi for one device only. When I connect my laptop to 2.4ghz hotel wifi and do a hotspot it works perfectly, but with 5Ghz doesn't :/ which is faster and honestly better.

As I remembered the 5Ghz wifi band 1&2 was banned in EU for indoor usage because it can interference the radar comm system. You can search the info online.
