Hello Xiaomian,
How are you doing?
These were some of the awesome tricks and tips that will help you get the most out of your new Redmi Note 5. Sounds fun?
Well, what are you waiting for, make the changes already! Watch this space for some interesting camera tricks for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

Not many years ago, it was predicted that smartphones will adopt a bezel-less full-screen display. Now that it's a regular practice, even for the budget-series phones, it's imperative that we make the most of it.
However, a full-screen display means that the one-handed mode becomes a tad difficult.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a Quick Ball menu.
Luckily, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with a Quick Ball menu, which lets you have a few of the handy shortcuts at your disposal. You can place it anywhere — on the screen’s edge or any other position.

All you need to do is go to Settings  Additional Settings and toggle the switch on. What makes this nifty menu even better is that you can also customize some of the buttons.

CHILL TIP: Speaking of the one-handed mode, you can also resize this cool feature. The Redmi Note 5 gives you the option to choose from 4.5-inch, 4.0-inch, and 3.5-inch displays.

From capturing screenshots to powering the phone off in style — the Redmi Note 5 lets you do all that with just a few swishes of your fingers.

To enable these options, navigate over to Additional Settings  Buttons and gesture shortcuts and choose the option of your choice.
WHAT'S MORE? The Android Developer option hides a plethora of fun tricks. To enable it, tap on the MIUI version seven times. Once done, you can find the option under Additional Settings.

Your new phone comes with a built-in collage maker, which means that you can kick out all the third-party collage maker apps. This feature will let you choose the layout option and it offers quite a number of cool grid options.

To open it, go to the gallery app, tap the three-dot menu and select Collage.
Moving on, the inclusion of MIUI 9 in the Redmi Note 5 means that you get the Erase option in the image-editing tool. So, the next time you're in need of Photoshop-level skills to remove unwanted objects from pictures, you know which buttons to press.

All you have to do is hit the Edit option, select Erase and tap on the area where you'd like the objects to be removed.

Now that you have a navigation bar, thanks to the full view display, it can be given a quick makeover. For starters, you can choose to hide the navigation bar or swap the buttons.

These settings can be found under Settings  Additional Settings  Buttons and gesture shortcuts.
But, if you'd like to go a notch above, there are a few third-party apps on the Play Store that overhaul the look of this colourless set of buttons. The first on our list is Navbar Apps.

This cool app lets you paint the navigation bar in beautiful colours. What's more? You can also stick some crazy images to the nav bar. Interesting, right?

Yes, your phone is intelligent and that's why it has been given the tag of a smartphone. However, the MIUI 9 on the Redmi Note 5 makes it a little bit smarter. For one, it comes with the new Intelligent Sleep Mode.

This cool feature uses machine learning to predict your sleep routine and disables radios and switches such as NFC, Bluetooth, and Wifi accordingly. Why? To save power, of course.
This setting can be found under Battery  Manage apps Battery usage  Scenarios.

Speaking of sleep, you must already know that staring at the bright blue screen of your smartphone at night is a terrible idea. That's when Blue light filter apps come into the picture. The good news is that now, you can do away with such apps.

The Redmi Note 5 comes with a built-in Reading mode. This mode gives a monochromatic hue to your phone, protecting your eyes.

To enable it, head over to Display  Reading Mode and toggle the switch on. To get the most out of this mode, schedule the timing so that you don't have to do the same thing over and over again.

The MIUI 9 in the Redmi Note 9 gives you a lot of options to try in the notification settings. To start, you can choose to bundle all the unimportant messages into a separate folder. Plus, you can choose to prioritize notifications depending on app importance.

To tweaks these settings, go to the notification settings menu and you'll find all the options.
CHILL TIP: If you don't want the notification shade to appear on the lock screen, toggle the Show on lock screen button off.
