I  m using Jio on my sim1 and aircel on my sim2. If the default internet sim is Jio Then Every things is fine.
When I change my default internet sime to aircel network in the Jio sim is gone and not able to use the VOLTE also.

How can i use Internet from the sim2 and use Jio sim on 4g Network. I checked with stock android devices it works how can I use this in miui.

Bro, that's how jio works. You need to keep your jio sim as default Internet sim, else it won't work. Blame it on jio.

And forgot to mention. There is no workaround for this. As jio works on VoLTE.. Voice over LTE, so LTE connection is must.

As stated above, Jio won't let you change your primary data to other sim as it needs internet connection for VoLTE. If you swap your data connection, Jio will not work. This is not a fault of your device.

This is not the limitation of Jio.

Mi 5 does not support simultaneous 4G in both the SIMs.

Mi 5 supports 4G only in the SIM chosen for Data, the other SIM will move to 3G.

Since Jio supports only 4G network, if you choose the second SIM for Data the phone will loose Jio connection because the 4G support is now only available for the second SIM.

That's correct as well.

This is not correct, i had Samsung J7 earlier, in there we can put Jio sim on 2G network as well, but of course there wont be any signal, and also it is not mandatory to select Jio sim for data network. I can choose another sim for data as well as voice calls, and even can select 2G or 3G for Jio sim (of course there wont be any network but still we can select). Seems like some bug in Mi phones.

no one understands the problem wel..I use the redmi note 4 and as per description one sim can support 4gat a time..Since it supports volte,we dont need to set data on to get calls and to make calls on Jio.. But the question is Why Jio is not working and even not showing signel when we change the default network to another sim..?and i changed the network type of the another sim from LTE to 3G.. it means one sim is with 3g network and set to default internet.. other sim is jio with 4g..But actually Jio is not even showing signal bar with this setting..i dont think it s correct.. bcz it is only correct if another sim also using LTE ie 4g.. Might be bug in miui.

In my case I'm using Redmi note 3, select data sim as airtel in 3g mode using slot 2, and as usual sim 1 with jio automatically switched to 2g. But i tried to change the network mode to lte only using phone info(settings /about /internal memory /5 times tap
