Some Mi Max users have highlighted WiFi connectivity problems on their devices over the weekend. Our engineers have identified what was causing the issues, and have immediately worked on a solution to fix this yesterday.
We’re releasing an OTA update today which will rectify WiFi connectivity problems for affected Mi Max users. Here are 3 ways in which you can install the update -
Method 1: (Recommended solution using Mobile Data, just 1.3 MB)
Update from the Updater app
*If you see No updates available, don’t worry. It might take some time for updates to push out to devices. You should get the update within a day.
Updating your device via OTA zip (check more details here :http://c.mi.com/in/thread-8978-1-0.html)
For users who were on v126.96.36.199, kindly download the below Update zip file of v188.8.131.52 and follow the process
MIUI 7.5 Global Stable V184.108.40.206
Fix - Couldn't connect to Wi-Fi in some cases
For users who updated their devices to v220.127.116.11, kindly download the below Update zip file of v18.104.22.168 and follow the process
MIUI 7.5 Global Stable V22.214.171.124 - 1.3 MB
Users who are not familiar with the above instructions and who are on 126.96.36.199 , can visit service centers to get it fixed ASAP. This fix is now official and is available with our Mi Exclusive Service centers.
