Hello Miui-er’s ,
We (MIFC Patna) have successfully completed Dec meetup at one of the newest service centre’s and celebrated Christmas Evening.
The whole idea of this meetup was to organise a close proximity with service centre team members and local mi fans. As planned by President of mifcpatna. This whole event was organized by special team 8 (Eight) members that Dhruv (President Mifcpatna) , Hariom raj(President Mifcpatna) , Akshay (mi enthusiast), H@sib (our group co-ordinator & device team member ) Manisanker (ex-mi4i miui beta team ), Md Shahrukh(ex- beta team), Nihal (Mi fan), Abhishek (shady sinha) and other friends , every one gathered there at designated time and their- in everyone planned out for the day.
It was a fun loving open session with Store Manager & his team along with device hands-on, exchange of ideas to operate devices at optimum performance and one to one query discussion on many things related with Mi and lastly feedback and thanksgiving.
Process and query handling in Service Centre & how effectively users can raise their queries related to the service. They'll be recording feedback to improve their service & communication.
Isn't it interesting but that’s not all, we are not done yet...

We had an awesome "Question & Answer Session" with Mi Service Center Staffs, Mi Fans were having a amazing questionnaire but Tezasvi (Engineer) and Team (SC) cleared Mi Fans doubts with amazing answers.

Here are some of the highlighting QNAs between Mi Fans & Service Center Team
Q1. Whenever someone brings their phone to Service Center to get it repaired, SC always Formats it completely but isn't there any option to save the user data?
Answer : It depends on the status of phone, if it can be repaired without clearing data, we do it but sometimes it becomes necessary to clear data to make the phone work perfectly but we always recommend user to backup Phones Contacts, Messages & Media Files to make sure they don't loose their data.
Q2. How service center treats Products Which has been damaged Physically under Warranty Period?
Answer : Physical Damage Voids Warranty, But Mi Also provides Mi Protect under which any kind of Physical Damages can be repaired at almost No Cost.
Q3. If there is no Physical Damage, But the Power Button or Volume Rockers Stop working, Will it Void Warranty?
Answer : Normally, Mi Phones build quality is good that buttons don't get damaged easily. But if the buttons stops working under Warranty Period, it won't be considered as Physical Damage and we will repair it under warranty.
But a button can only be damaged when applying too much pressure or if Liquid enters the phone, in both ways warranty will be Void.
Q4. How does Service Center knows if Liquid has entered the Phone? What if I dry it before giving it to SC?
Answer : Many People do the same, But every phone has some unique identification points where we will easily know if any kind of liquid had entered the phone or not. There are some "litmus Paper" type indicator inside phone which changes its colors when water reached them, so we will know it as soon as we disassemble the phone even if the phone is dry.
Q5. If I buy A Xiaomi product from Unauthorized offline Stores, Will Service Center accepts it warranty?
Answer : Yes but there is something which you must know.
Yes even if you buy a Xiaomi Product from unauthorized or any offline store in your city, There is no issue of warranty at service center.
But, You need to Carry the Bill given by the Store and that Bill should contain Valuable informations like "GST, Tin, IMEI, VAT" Etc.
Do Keep in mind, there are many offline stores which sells "Duplicate Xiaomi Products", So we wont take any responsibility for that if you buy it from unauthorized stores.
Q6. Why unauthorized stores sells xiaomi phones at increased price? They charged 1000-1500Rs. Extra, is it good to buy it?
Answer : No, Offline stores are Allowed to take 500 Extra than the Online price not more than that. If any store asks for more than that then you have all the rights to deny it. But offline pricing does increase so 500 extra is negotiable, however offline pricing should not exceed MRP.
