[ROM] Auto Display Brightness SUCKS

hi,i found that the auto display brightness feature on my mi9tpro doesn't work as it should.
it's always to bright or to dark.
i adjusted it over 200 times to teach the system my preferred brightness under all conditions but it doesn't learn.
when it's under lowlight conditions an it's to bright i turn it down a bit and after 2-5 seconds the system turns the display down to minimum brightness.
When the Display is to dark then i adjust it to something around 30% brightness and again after 2-5 seconds the system turns the brightness up to ~75%.

that really sucks because it's very hard in the eyes and adjusting all the time is annoying.

The Phone is on MIUI 11 (latest EU 11.0.3.0 stable ROM).

I stopped using it on my Mi9se for the same reason to dark low light, to bright in good light.

I think the tech doesn't understand reality.

have you tried original case that comes with phone? I think ambient light sensor on this device is somewhere at very top of screen, maybe your case covers it

if that's the case the system wouldn't adjust the brightness at all and this function that notice the user if the screen is covered wouldn't work which it does.
so the case i use isn't the problem.
