in Israel, Hamilton is the only official importer of Xiaomi's products. It practices very high pricing (more than in most of the countries) causing that even unofficial importers that are buying from other countries to succeed to price Xiaomi's products lesser than Hamilton...
example from today:
the mi 9t was announced today in Israel at a price of 1600 nis in 64 GB even if it is sold for example in France by Xiaomi at 350 euro: around 1430 nis,
about 10% less, including the 20% VAT (17% in Israel) or 330 euro in Spain (1350 nis!!! 15% less!)
Has anyone an explanation about this?
Xiaomi Worldwide: can anything be done about this? other unofficial importers that most of the Israelis buy from are not giving a good image of Xiaomi. For example, they remove the official Xiaomi charger and replace it with a bad 2A charger and remove the silicon case. they are making the customer to pay more for what was included in the official package and most of the customers even don't know about that and stay with a bad and slow charger. The image of Xiaomi is strongly damaged by this kind of practices. if Hamilton prices were more normal, parallel importation will stop and Xiaomi's name will be as it should...
