[Q&A] How to unlock Redmi 4X

Dear Xiaomi

I have several devices associated with this account, except one: a Redmi 4X i bought for my 15-year old daughter via Lazada in December 2017.

She had been using it since then and two days ago, she tried to do a factory reset. Unfortunately, it did not go well and the device got locked out.

In this regard, may I seek your help in resolving this problem. Her fone's IMEI is 866002031468548.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Problem is, we cannot remember the Mi account number associated with that Redmi 4X device.

Hi. I did what you suggested last Wednesday in conjunction with a scheduled trip to Manila and dropped by the Mi Store in Megamall. Unfortunately, they were not of any help. They suggested, among others, having it serviced by unofficial shops/crackers for a fee.

What other options can I explore? This whole experience is getting unpleasant and frustrating.
