Hi Mi Fan's,
As you all know that recently Mi India launched Redmi 4 which is a successor of the most successful online selling phone in Indian online history i.e Redmi 3s. The phone received alot of praise from different sections, specially from tech enthusiastic blogger.
I was lucky enough to get a early hands-on for this phone & I have been in love with it after around 2 day's of usage. Let's see what's new in this phone in comparison with it's predecessor.
1) The processor is been upgraded from SD 430 to SD 435.
2) The Redmi 4 comes with 2.5D glass which enhances the look and feel of holding the phone in hand.
3) It comes with much needed Fingerprint Sensor.
4) All these upgrade cost same over it's predecessor i.e. 6999 INR.
The Redmi 4 gives the look and feel of the recent offering i.e. Redmi Note 4. The phone looks like younger sibling & more compact variant of RN4. The front of the phone looks good and the curve edges on all 4 sides ensure that there is no pain after prolong use. The capacitive keys are not backlit though but you won't miss them much mostly because of the color combination. On the top lies the front facing 5MP, f2.0 aperature camera. On the opposite side of the camera you will find the proximity sensor & in between the lies the speaker. The display of the screen is 2.5D.
The rear side of the phone has the 13MP, f2.0 aperature camera on the top left side and a FingerPrint Sensor is place in the middle for easy access. The lower bottom has the Mi branding and different certification details related to phone. The rear body is made up of metal/aluminium.
On the right side we have Volume/Power Key. The keys are placed on top side, to make sure that user don't have struggle to access them. The keys are not made of plastic, so it will last a bit more longer.
The lower bottom is equiped with speaker grill all well as mic. Both are separated apart by the standard USB/Charging port. They have not opted for type C port (Thank GOD).
The top has 3.5mm Audio jack & dual mic for noise cancellation. Other then that we have IR blaster to access various smart devices with the help of Mi Remote.
The left side as usual has the SIM tray (Hybrid tray).
