2017-05-16 03:57 AM·585 views aayush yogesh MhetarXiaomi is making strides in the smartphone market by launching a series of new models, such as Mi 6, Redmi 4A and many others. Xiaomi follows annual upgrade cycles for most of its phones, and it looks like the company is focusing on the Mi Max successor this time around.Xiaomi had launched its largest smartphone, the Mi Max, in May last year, bringing the annual shelf life of the smartphone to an end and paving way for a new model. Several rumours about the Mi Max 2 have made the rounds in the past, but the release date of the handset had largely remained a mystery. Not anymore! If the latest rumour is true, the Mi Max successor will be launched in China on May 23, GizmoChina reported. With the launch date finalised, let's take a look at what the Mi Max 2 has to offer in terms of specifications. The large-screen factor will be continued in the Mi Max 2, as the handset is expected to come with the same 6.44-inch Full HD display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM, and another variant with Snapdragon 660 with 6GB RAM is also expected to make a debut. Both variants will have 128GB onboard storage and there's no word on the microSD card support, although a hybrid slot would make sense. The Mi Max 2 will boast a 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor on the back and a standard 5MP front snapper. Under the hood, it will pack a 5,000mAh battery and the USB Type-C port will make charging faster in the phone. The super-sized display and a large battery makes the Mi Max 2 a suitable device for movie buffs, much like its predecessor. In our review, we found the Mi Max as a stretched out version of the popular Redmi Note 3.The Mi Max 2 is also expected to get the premium finish, thanks to the metallic structure. The price factor of the Mi Max made it even more attractive, and the company is likely to do the same with its Mi Max 2.While there's no concrete evidence on the pricing of the Mi Max 2, it is expected to fall between ¥1,499 (approx. Rs. 14,000) and ¥1,699 (about Rs. 16,000). We don't expect the Mi Max 2 to make its way to India shortly after its China launch, but it will be a few weeks before we get our hands on another super-sized smartphone giant from Xiaomi.RepliesKailashj2017-05-16 08:28 PM#10waiting ......Reply Like16694567572017-05-16 06:21 PM#9wow... it's greatReply Likeaayush yogesh Mhetar2017-05-16 05:44 PM#8Quote: 1578866082
