[Discussion] No updates on Mi 9

I am starting to hate Xiaomi for its updates delivery to their recent flagship Mi 9. My Mi 9 received only 2 updates in 2 months (EU Version) while other versions received 3 or 4 updates. Not to mention that almost half of the Xiaomi phones received MIUI V10.3 update while our Mi 9 are still on the V10.2. As a flagship phone I think we should receive updates first.

Do you agree with me?

The Global Stable ROM receives fewer updates than the Chinese ROM because it is certified by Google. The Chinese ROM has no Google stuff. If you want more frequent updates you can switch to the Global Developer ROM which receives weekly updates but since that ROM is not certified Google Pay won't work

Being on the April security patch which almost arrived in April is better than virtually any other manufacturer other the Google Pixel. Personally I think that is pretty good. I'll be more interested in how quickly they can push out the update to Android Q...

if your phone work's fine what's the meaning of more than 1 update per month or even per 2 months or 3?if you don't take any updates thats mean your phone has no issues and you mast glad, most of the updates is to solve issues on every brand, even iphone updates the software every 2-3 month's

Correction, both Global & China Rom devices are Google certified.

Guys if phone working whats the point to getting update every week , is enough 1 major update per month or idk something major i mean big changer
2019-05-17 18:24:48
Yes, but there is no 1 major update per month.

Last global stable is 02.9 (9 of februrary), and now is 18 of May.. it is 3 month, and no updates.

In general I myself prefer fewer updates that in fact do something over those weekly updates with minor/ cosmetic changes ("we changed the ... appearance" - who needs that??)..

But of course, having few updates that still do little (as we already had as well) are the worst..
Xiaomi unfortunately has a bit of a habit to neglect their "flagships" in some way
