Xiaomi need to stop this protection feature,
users have rights to their purchased device,
xiaomi already have record their user unlocked bootloader and voiding their warranty through mi account verification in xiaomi unlock

So this new edl authorization is useless, you give only 1 time rights to do edl flashing with request feature,
after that we must sent our mi device to mi service center, their mi service center will reject if we bought mi device not from their official distributor (many high end mi phones not released officially in my country), so if you bought from unofficial distributor and you make a mistake like broke the bootloader your device will end as a door knock

EDL authorization is one time for day.....

I think the authorization is necessary.Think about that you lost your phone, and anyone can flash it via EDL MODE

if you already bind the phone to the xiaomi account is enough, they can check the serial number

We can contact the police and they will ban IMEI number so that device cannot receive signal,
if you lost a phone it's your fault and i think not make we have to admit lost flashing rights,
xiaomi is getting far away from developer

I believe unlocking bootloader doesn't void your warranty?

It's clear that unlocking bootloader void your warranty, your imei will be recorded as not factory default
