A little explanation on how to access the USB Hard Drive connected to the XiaoMi Mini Router (see http://en.miui.com/thread-89920-1-1.html for partial info).
Simply plug the HDD to the USB port of the router. I've search wich format to use and find out that FAT and NTFS are supported. The HDD can also contain several partition without problem.
First connect the HDD to the router. Then go on the mobile app, click on the file tab, the HDD will be analysed by the app (took about 2 minutes).
Then go on Device tab, click on the device you want to use the HDD from and activate ``Router hard drive access``.
Then on windows right click on ``This PC`` and choose ``Add a network location``. Click ``Next``, choose ``Choose a custom network location`` and in the next page enter ``\\192.168.31.1\XiaoMi-usb0``, click ``Next`` choose a name for the name and you are all set :-)
If you have several partition simply add a second network location with the address: ``\\192.168.31.1\XiaoMi-usb1``, etc.
With this technique you don't need to install the app on your computer to access the HDD (I have the english version of Xiaomi Mini with firmware 2.2.105)
