Hey Mi Fans!|
I just bought the recently launched Mi Tripod Selfie Stick and as usual was way to excited to unwrap it. I am a big fan of Selfies and Groupfies and couldn't resist buying this one. Definitely an upgrade from the 1st Gen Mi BT Selfie Stick. So here's a quick unboxing and initial feedback.
Homer hiding my details
Came wrapped in bubblewrap and survived the long haul from China.
Decent no fuss packaging from Xiaomi.
The instructions are in Chinese but the images are self-explanatory.
Wait, what's this? A pull tab, looks fancy.
The tab was to remove this small box.
That's all the contents inside.
Don't know what it says, maybe some Mi Comm team members from China can help us learn Mandarin to bridge the cultural gap
It's the removable Bluetooth Remote.
The design looks so familiar, yes that's right, it looks exactly like the Mi Band 2
Nice and Sleek.
Can be charged with any standard Micro USB 2.0 source.
Now to the main event.
The stick is compact. The Handle which also works as Tripod legs has a soft matt rubber finish which makes it very comfirtable to hold on.
It's almost half a foot shortner than the 1st Gen Mi BT Stick.
Selfie Stick mode.
Autobots transform! Tripod mode
Charging the Bluetooth Remote using a Redmi Note 4 Charger and Cable.
And now time to pair it.
And who better to pair it with than the awesome Redmi Note 4 Black!
The remote shows up as "XMZPG" which is a generic Bluetooth input device name.
Pairs and connects instantly.
Renamed it to Mi Selfie Tripod to avoid confusion with the other Mi Selfi Stick.
Haven't got much time to test it, will only know it's real character once I get to use it extensively, which will probably be in few days on our next fan meetup of MiFC Mumbai. Till then ciao!
