Hey MI Fans,
Microsoft has released free Office apps for Android phones which provide similar interface and functionality as you get in Office 2016 applications.
These free Office apps can be installed via the Google Play Store in almost all Android mobile phones. You get the following 3 main apps in this Office suite:
I installed these apps in a few Android mobile phones to test their features and user interface and now I’m going to list all important and worth to mention things in this exclusive review article.
So without wasting time lets start the review of Office apps for Android mobile phones
The Start Screen:
As soon as you launch an Office app in your Android phone, you get a Start Screen showing options to open an existing file, create a new file and sign into cloud services.

The Start Screen interface is very clean and simple. Nothing more to talk about it.
Word, Excel and PowerPoint Apps Main Interface:
The main page of all 3 Office apps is also minimal. You get the main content window to start creating your desired document without any extra clutter.
Following are the screenshots of all 3 apps main page:

There is no toolbar present in any Office app. You get the familiar Ribbon at the bottom in a minimized state.
The Ribbon UI:
All Office apps contain the Ribbon toolbar at the bottom for easier access. The ribbon is shown as minimized and you can access it by clicking on the small up arrow present at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
You can switch between different ribbon tabs by clicking on the tab title and selecting other tabs.
File Menu and Settings:
You can access the main menu of an Office app by clicking on the Hamburger-style (3 lines) icon present at the top-left corner of the screen. It shows common menus such as New, Open, Save, Save as, Share, Print, Close and Feedback.

To access Office app settings, you need to click on the settings (gear) icon present at the top-right corner of the main menu. The settings page contains various options to customize such as:
"Reset Office" option might come very useful if the Office apps are not working properly on your mobile phone. You can use this option to erase all Office app data and restore Office apps to factory settings i.e. the initial state. You can consider this option like uninstalling and then reinstalling Office apps in your mobile phone.
